Special Election: Island Hospital Distrtict.  Proposition No. 1 - Levy Lid Lift for Health Care Services

Measure Text -- The Commission of Public Hospital District No. 2, Skagit County, Washington (Island Health) adopted Resolution No. 2025-2186 concerning the district's regular property tax levy. If approved, this proposition would provide additional operating and capital funds for Island Health to sustain lifesaving, preventive care and other health care services for our community while modernizing technologies to improve health outcomes. It authorizes a maximum regular property levy rate for collection in 2026 of 75 cents per $1,000 of assessed value. The 2026 levy amount will be used for the purpose of computing the limitations for levies in subsequent years.

Ballot Box Locations -- Please note: Ballot available and mail dates are specific to Skagit County. State Law requires ballots to be mailed 18 days in advance of Election Day, but the Skagit County Elections Office mails ballots 20 days in advance.
