The wonderful Madrona Poetry Series returns to Pelican Bay Books in Anacortes on Saturday, April 26, 2025, with music by Steve and Kristi Nebel and poetry by Holly Hughes and Gary Thompson. The poetry starts at 7. Get there early for beverages and browsing. The Madrona Project is a periodical offshoot from the local cooperative, Empty Bowl Press which is edited by Holly J. Hughes. Pelican Bay Books & Coffeehouse is a real, family-owned used bookstore in the heart of Anacortes, perched on the edge of the Salish Sea. Our baked goods and syrups are made in-house.
