Many offices, businesses and most retailers will be closed on Thanksgiving Day. Most government offices, too. Banks will be closed.
Crews are working on rebuilding and expanding the width of P-Q dock, at the north end of Cap Sante Marina on Wednesday. The work is part of renovations by the Port of Anacortes. The tent visible near the end of the dock covers boats owned by OARS, the Old Anacortes Rowing & Sailing Society.
Friday, the 13th was unlucky for an 85-year-old woman whose bumper fell off her car when she was involved in a car crash. She left the scene, but she was easy to locate since her license plate was still on the bumper.
