Anacortes Police arrested two residents on drug charges and seized meth and heroin during a raid last Friday at a home on N Avenue, according to information released Tuesday morning.

Anacortes officers, along with APD Narcotics K-9, Xander, joined Detectives with the Skagit County Inter-local Drug Enforcement Unit (SCIDEU) and served a search warrant which resulted in the arrests and seizure, according to the news release.

The release said that probable cause had already existed for the arrest of one of the home’s occupants for controlled substance violations.

Once inside the residence, officers arrested a 23 year-old male for alleged controlled substance violations and his 25 year-old girlfriend. Both subjects were taken into custody without incident and transported to the Skagit County Jail.

The 23 year-old male is being held on multiple counts of possession of a controlled substance, delivery of a controlled substance, as well as a firearms violation. The 25 year-old female is being held on charges of possession with intent to deliver.

Officers also talked with two adult females in the residence who were later cleared and allowed to return to the home.

A subsequent search of the residence resulted in the seizure of methamphetamine and heroin.
