The number of confirmed cases of coronavirus among Skagit County residents has jumped to 18. Three people have been hospitalized during this crisis. Still no deaths reported. Wednesday's total of confirmed cases was 14.

Meanwhile, Island Hospital found three people who were tested at an in-car screening have tested positive for coronavirus, according to None of the three entered the hospital, but were sent home after the screening.

Island Hospital has opened a call center. If you think you have been exposed to the coronavirus (COVID-19) and have a fever, cough or respiratory symptoms, call Island Hospital's Call Center at (360) 293-3101 Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. If after hours or on weekends, and you are not in respiratory distress, self quarantine at home and wait until the phone lines are open.

Due to an increase in cases and a need to prioritize contract tracing, Public Health will no longer be providing more detailed information on cases.

Skagit County Public Health only tracks COVID-19 cases of Skagit County residents, to avoid duplication in reporting. Facilities in our community may be caring for patients who are from another county.
