Anacortes Community Theatre brings a bit of fluff and fun to the stage starting this weekend in 'Nunsense.'

The Little Sisters of Hoboken discover that their cook, Sister Julia, Child of God, has accidentally poisoned 52 of the sisters--and they are in dire need of funds for the burials. The sisters decide that the best way to raise the money is to put on a variety show in the school auditorium.

The show features songs like “So You Want to be a Nun,” “Holier than Thou,” “Tackle that Temptation with a Two Step” and “We’ve Got To Clean Out the Freezer.”

Featuring star solos, tap and ballet dancing, an audience quiz, and comic surprises, this show has become an international phenomenon. With more than 5000 productions worldwide, it has been translated into 21 languages.

Cast: Sister Mary Regina: Marilyn Pinquoch, Sister Mary Hubert: Dulcey Whyte, Sister Robert Anne: Willow McLaughlin, Sister Mary Amnesia: Valerie Thomas, Sister Mary Leo: Madison Campbell, Brother Achoo: Brian Thurston.

'Nunsense' shows April 3 through May 2, Thursdays through Sundays. Tickets are $16.
