DESCRIPTION:JANETTE WEST - Janette West is a jazz vocalist who has been working up and down the West Coast for over 5 decades fronting R&B, smooth-jazz and big band outfits. Never though, has West been better served than with the dynamic quartet she and husband drummer Marty Tuttle have developed. Using only top Seattle veteran pianists and bassists their group has become a Rockfish staple. They continue to perform throughout the NW region in restaurants, concert venues, jazz walks and private engagements.\NJanette was nurtured in the fabric of Northwest music history. Her voice and style is a rich composite of dynamic jazz improvisation with the plush warmth of soulful R&B influences. Early career highlights include opening for Jimi Hendrix and Tina Turner, writing and performing radio jingles, and performing in hundreds of venues as an R&B and Jazz performer.\NJanette earned a choice write up in Jazztimes magazine by national music critic Christopher Loudon who wrote; “West is a first-rate swinger, comparable in style and gusto to Ernestine Anderson, though the warmth of her ballads is more reminiscent of Natalie Cole. Carol Banks Weber of AXS writes; “All audiences notice is West’s easy way with the lyrics, the music and with them, the rich, lustrous undertones of an alto that can wrap around any song -Jazz standard, R&B, Latin- and make it swing.”

DESCRIPTION:A fixture of Central Florida’s theater scene for nearly a quarter-century, Kimbro has composed scores of original pieces, scripting and starring in several productions. Kimbro emerged from the UCF undergraduate theater program in the late ’90s and quickly earned admirers by presenting a string of edgy, original shows through the Fringe Festival and Impacte Productions, his short-lived storefront theater. He also played a dueling piano gig for two decades at Pat O’Brien’s in Orlando before recently moving to the Emerald city where he has resumed his musical career as a singer, pianist, theatrical performer and content creator.

I am fortunate to have done both.  At the age of 14, I won "Most Outstanding Artist". I was painting then, but pencil--especially colored pencil--is my medium of choice.  I like the control and detail I can achieve. My favorite subjects are animals. I love the challenge of the various textures. I hope you enjoy seeing my work."\N1216 7th Street, Christ Episcopal Church\NSwinomish wood sculptor Kevin Paul’s carvings of a salmon and eagle represent the giving spirit and prayerful practice of the Christian belief will be on display and described in more detail.  Inside the sanctuary you can enjoy the eight stained-glass windows that surround the space.  Each beautiful window, as designed by Jim Perry of Perry Stained Glass Studio of Issaquah depicts a scene from Jesus’s life, such as the violent storm in the Sea of Galilee where Jesus calms the waters.  As you learn more about each scene you can enjoy the beauty of the stained-glass and reflect on the artist's interpretation of each story. We also feature paintings by Dederick Ward of Anacortes.  All are welcome.  Light refreshments and hors d'oeuvres will be served.
