The 309-foot Ross Candies is being built at Dakota Creek Industries for Otto Candies of Des Allemands, LA. It is distinguished by it's heliport, 100-ton deck masts that rise far above the main deck.
Current plans call for the Ross Candies to be launched in the next
couple of months. The Ross Candies is what's called an IMR, an
Inspection, Maintenance & Repair vessel to service off-shore oil
platforms in the Gulf of Mexico.
