A resident of the 1200 block of I Avenue reported that his pit bull dog had bitten a 3-year-old child in the face and that he wanted the dog removed from his house.

An Anacortes woman reported being assaulted by her 34-year-old husband at their home in the 1100 block of 28th Street last week. The woman reported that her husband was upset because she wasn't earning any money.

The teacher convicted of assault in connection with the attack on his wife outside their Campbell Lake home a year ago has been sentenced to 20 years in prison. Superior Court Judge Michael Rickert sentenced Alan Gromus to 248 months in prison.
