Stuart Janke and I have a history together dating back to 1978 when we were both in the same 3rd grade class. We started our friendship in that year, and it has remained strong ever since. I know Stuart better than almost anyone except his immediate family.

My name is Desiree Merulli. I am Kevin McKeown’s wife. Mr. Hoboy’s email last Sunday was shameless and cowardly. He deeply hurt Kevin and me. Any caring person must condemn Mr. Hoboy’s attack on Kevin’s service to his community as a volunteer firefighter.

The ballots are in voters’ hands and the campaign season (for this year, anyway) is in the final stretch. I wanted to pass along a couple of items that just arrived in case you are still trying to make up your mind about the Anacortes City Council race for Ward 3.
