The Anacortes Schools Foundation invites graduating seniors to apply for financial help in pursuing their post-secondary educational goals. Scholarship applications for graduating seniors are now available at the career center at the high school.
All students intending to pursue further education are encouraged to apply.
Scholarships are available for vocational and technical training and for community college and university courses. Scholarship amounts vary; some students may be eligible for more than one scholarship.
ASF scholarships meet a broad range of needs: some reward academic excellence; others stress community service, special interests or financial need. Individual donors often determine the requirements for a scholarship.
Applications must be turned into the career center no later than March 26, 2010. Help with completing the application is available at the career center. Only one application is needed to apply for most scholarships.
For more information about ASF scholarships and the application process, check the ASF web site or visit the career center at the high school.
Any citizen or group wanting to learn how to help a deserving AHS student attend college can call the ASF for more information at 293-1200 or send an e-mail to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it . It is not too late to establish a scholarship to be presented this year to a graduating senior.
This year’s ASF award ceremony is on the evening of May 26 at Anacortes Middle School. Parents, teachers, students and the public are invited to attend.
