Only a few more weeks before crews wrap construction near Quiet Cove on SR 20. Between now and then you’ll see crews installing lane markings (striping) and completing miscellaneous tasks during the day. At night, crews will close a lane while they install guardrail and lane striping.
7:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., Monday, Sept. 21, through Thursday, Sept. 24 -
Crews will close a lane Monday through Thursday nights to install
guardrail. Flaggers will direct you through the work zone.
Check the construction update report for changes to the schedule.
Crews accidently break water main on SR 20 near Quiet Cove
Crews installing guardrail on the SR 20 Quiet Cove project hit a water
main early Friday morning. If you live in the area and woke up this
morning without water, we’d like to apologize for the inconvenience.
We require crews take precautions to ensure that they don’t hit
underground utilities. Locating utilities before beginning any
excavation helps to prevent damage to utilities, service interruptions,
and bodily injury. We aren’t sure what happened in this case, but we
will investigate to try and ensure that it doesn’t happen again.
