Upriver oil spill on the Skagit

Word around the North Cascades Institute is that there was a small spill of transmission fluid into Diablo Lake, way up the Skagit River.

Murray calls for tanker re-bid

Cantwell continues push for lower gas prices

As consumers continue to struggle with record high gas prices at the pump heading into the July 4th holiday, today U.S. Senator Maria Cantwell, and several of her Senate colleagues, introduced legislation aimed at closing loopholes and reining in excessive manipulation, and possible manipulation, of the oil futures market.
