The discovery of a body near the wreckage of a car down a 200-foot embankment in Auburn is NOT that of Keith Anderson. Normally I don't post items that are not Anacortes-related, but because of the intense interest in Anderson's disappearance, I thought I'd make sure that everyone knows that the Auburn body is not his. King County sheriff's deputies and fire crews responded to the scene in the 16200 block of SE Auburn Black Diamond Road around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and found the body near the car.
 

You may have noticed high winds this morning. Anacortes and western Skagit County have felt wind gusts as high as 45 miles per hour Monday morning.

From Rep. Jeff Morris's office: A proposal introduced Wednesday by State Representative and Speaker Pro Tem Jeff Morris could raise close to $70 million per year for much-needed ferries in Puget Sound and a new bridge spanning the Columbia River between Vancouver and Portland.

Friends of Keith Anderson have organized a candlelight vigil for 6pm on Wednesday night at Causland Park. Anderson has been missing since, Wed., Jan. 6. He retired from being a counselor at the high school about 2 years ago.  - From Libby Digweed.

Auditions for "Getting Away with Murder" will be held at Anacortes Community Theatre on Sat January 23rd from 1 to 4 PM and Sunday January 24th from 7 to 9 PM.  There are roles for 6 men and 3 women.
