I would like to take this opportunity to share some good news with you regarding next school year.

First, let me thank the greater Anacortes community for its overwhelming passage of our District’s four-year M&O Levy. The Maintenance & Operation Levy in February passed by a 76.38 percent yes vote, the highest percentage “yes vote” in the state. Our students, staff, and parents are extremely grateful.

Summer ferry service starts Sunday

The Washington State Department of Transportation Ferries Division (WSF) will begin operating its summer 2010 sailing schedule on Father’s Day, Sunday, June 20, with additional vessels, sailings and service hours on the more popular tourism routes.
The increased service levels will help locals and tourists alike take summer trips to the San Juan Islands, Whidbey Island, Vashon Island, and the Olympic Peninsula. The summer schedule runs through Sept. 25.

The board of the Anacortes Schools Foundation (ASF), a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting Anacortes schools, teachers and students, wishes to thank all our generous scholarship donors.
